In Evernight Castle, King Kaedric loves human Elena, but Regent Ravena’s lie forces Elena to flee while pregnant. Seven years later, blind and dying, Elena travels to Greyford with their half-blood children, Lucas and Mira. The crescent silver ring triggers the royal blood pact, and Kaedric recognizes his family, bringing them home. There, Cordelia and Ravena poison them and unleash the Night-hunting Clan’s sunlight array. At death’s edge, the two halves of the ring unite; Elena awakens as the Night Queen, regains her sight, shatters the array, and exposes the bloodline lie. The Old Covenant is restored, half-bloods and humans become equal, and under the twin moons Kaedric and Elena marry again, reunited as a family. Main line: the ring’s union, the Night Queen’s awakening, breaking the ancient lie, and protecting loved ones.
